Shaheen Shah Afridi and his wife welcomed a baby boy to the world on August 24, 2024. It is an emotional moment for the Afridi family. To celebrate the occasion, Shaheen Afridi took to social media to share this news with the fans and followers and informed everyone that they had named the baby, Aliyaar Afridi.

Afridi wrote on Twitter, "This moment changes everything! My heart is full and my life just got a whole lot better. 24/08/2024 will always be special to us. Welcome to the world my son, Aliyaar Afridi. I will forever be thankful to my wife for all the pain and suffering she had to endure. She is literally the support system of our little family. I am grateful for all the lovely wishes and prayers coming our way. Remember my little family in your prayers."

The pace bowler was a part of the Pakistan Cricket Team at the time of his baby's birth and celebrated one dismissal with style. That became his way of announcing to the world about his arrival. However, the happiness didn't last forever as Pakistan lost the 1st Test match against Bangladesh. This defeat gave rise to several controversies and raised questions about the team's selection.

Ahmad Shahzad slammed Pakistan team after defeat against Bangladesh

Former Pakistan batter Ahmad Shahzad has taken to social media to slam the Pakistan attack for their disappointing performance in the 1st Test match against Bangladesh. Even after declaring the innings, Pakistan lost the game by 10 wickets, which is nothing less than embarrassment. Talking about this loss, Shahzad questioned the selection committee for neglecting young, talented batters on a domestic level and picking up players who aren't in form.

"The historic downfall of the Pakistan team has begun. The nation has been lied to again and again and today, after the historic humiliating defeat by Bangladesh, the dirty joke has been played again. Whom should the nation ask for an answer from and whose throat should they grab? Who is responsible for all these situations?" added Shehzad.
