The United States has denied him a visa for the event and the announcement was made public by Sandeep Lamichhane himself. It is now to be seen what the former Nepal star will do as he will not be part of the T20 World Cup.

Taking to Twitter, this is what Lamichhane wrote” “And the @USEmbassyNepal did it again what they did back in 2019, they denied my Visa for the T-20 World Cup happening in USA and West Indies. Unfortunate. I am sorry to all the well-wishers of Nepal Cricket. @USAmbNepal @CricketNep,

Sandeep Lamichhane left heartbroken:

It hasn’t been easy for Sandeep Lamichhane in the last few months. The former Nepal skipper was given prison time over the sexual assault charges that he had faced. Just a few days ago it came to light that the spin bowler has seen his appeal being taken into consideration and the Nepal Cricket had set Lamichhane free.

He has been set free by the law, and we are happy for him. He was sentenced to jail by the lower courts, but today the high court set him free. We have removed the suspension as well, and we have time until the 25th to include him in the World Cup squad” said the chief of the Nepal Cricket Board.

Nepal are in the same group as Sri Lanka, South Africa, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands. Counted as one of the best upcoming sides, Nepal will want to keep improving and performing better.

The 23-year-old last played local league matches earlier this year for PARSA Club where he picked 3 wickets. Till now Lamichhane has played 52 games for Nepal and picked 98 wickets with a best of 5/9 and an economy rate of 6.29 runs per over.
