Notably, it was also an Instagram story shared by Rohit Sharma, which left the Indian cricket fans and all cricket experts in shock. It all happened when the 38-year-old announced his retirement from Test cricket last month on May 7. He made this announcement with an Instagram story. Speaking of Rohit Sharma’s glorious and celebrated career for India, he has scored 4301 runs in 116 innings of the 67 Tests, with 12 centuries and 18 half-centuries. Besides that, he is one of the all-time great batters in ODI cricket, scoring 11,168 runs in 265 innings of the 273 matches he has played so far; he has scored these runs with an amazing average of 48.76, hitting 32 centuries and 58 half-centuries, with the highest ever individual score of 264 in ODIs.

Apart from Tests and ODIs, he is also the leading run-scorer for India in the T20 international even after a year of his retirement from the format. The Hitman scored 4231 runs in 151 innings of the 159 T20Is he played in his career, registering an average of 32.05, with five centuries and 32 half-centuries.

Now, Rohit will be in action for India in the ODIs later around the end of this year during India’s home season and a couple of assignments away from home.
