Ahead of the clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) might receive a huge blow as Glenn Maxwell might miss the game due to a thumb injury. The Australian batter got injured while fielding during the match against the Mumbai Indians in Mumbai. This is concerning news for the RCB franchise as they have not had a good performance in the tournament so far.

Losing Maxwell for even one game might be expensive for RCB as he was able to support both the batting and bowling. RCB is currently in the ninth position after winning only one out of six matches. The team is struggling to find balance and like always, the bowlers are finding it difficult to maintain their line and length.

Even though the batters are giving it all, the match doesn't turn in their favour due to the poor performance of the bowling attack. It's high time for them to start winning matches or just like every other year they'll be the first team to be out of the tournament. Virat Kohli is on the Orange Cap's list and are playing extremely well.

'We also lost a few key moments...' - Faf du Plessis after losing the match against Mumbai Indians

After losing the match against Mumbai Indians (MI), Faf du Plessis opened up about the mistakes the team made during the match. Moreover, he also mentioned the fact that he must start winning tosses to expect a better game result. The main issue with the team is their bowling attack and sooner they realise it, the better it is for them.

"We also lost a few key moments, we were going well when myself and Patidar were out in the middle with that partnership, but they did come back well. Every time you see him with the ball in his hand (on Jasprit Bumrah), you think you'll have to put him under pressure," said Faf at the post-match presentation.
