Prasidh Krishna bowled a great spell after the end of the short rain break in the second session of the fifth day of the Headingley Test between India and England. The right-arm pacer ensured India got their first wicket of the innings by getting rid of Zack Crawley and followed it up by dismissing Ollie Pope. Prasidh ended his spell after bowling some peaches to trouble Ben Duckett and Joe Root.

India was in a desperate need of a wicket after some dropped catches and unlucky deliveries that did not fetch them wickets. Defending 371, India had a task cut out against two set openers. Krishna went fuller against Crawley and invited him to drive the ball through the covers, setting a trap.

The right-handed batter, who had been batting very well till that point, fell to the trick, as he drove the full length delivery, which took the outside edge of the willow to travel to the slip cordon, where KL Rahul made no mistakes and grabbed the catch safely.

Krishna did not just stop there. He continuously delivered a series of terrific deliveries. With his height and pronounced seam position, Prasidh got the ball to nip back into the right handers and took it away from Duckett.

Krishna dismissed Pope with an in-seamer and ensured India got the second wicket of the innings in a quick time. In came Root, who was troubled by the tall pacer. For a brief period, it seemed as if India was back in the game due to the double strikes provided by the right-arm pacer.
