Australia are set to clash with England to play a 5-match ODI series and a 3-match T20I series starting on September 11. The contest between these teams will have a different atmosphere as they are arch-rivals and love to play against each other. Since the first T20I is scheduled on Wednesday, England have announced their playing 11 for the match.

Phil Salt will lead the side along with some other senior players like Adil Rashid, Sam Curran and Jofra Archer. England will be lucky to have their star bowler back in the squad, Jofra Archer. Additionally, the series will be special for the hosts as three newcomers will make their debut in the 1st T20I: Jordan Cox, Jacob Bethell, and Jamie Overton. Playing with debutants won't be easy for skipper Salt, but he'll get an opportunity to prove his worth.

Australia are yet to announce their playing 11 ahead of the game, but they, too, have some fiery players in the squad who have the full potential to crush the English players in their own home ground. However, the strategies from both sides will be set and now, the fans have to sit and watch the upcoming drama in the series.

England's squad for 1st T20I against Australia: Phil Salt, Will Jacks, Jordan Cox, Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethell, Sam Curran, Jamie Overton, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Saqib Mahmood and Reece Topley.

Jos Buttler ruled out of T20I series against Australia

Due to injury, England's white-ball skipper, Jos Buttler, will miss out on the upcoming T20I series against Australia. He suffered a setback in his recovery from a right calf injury. However, England have a good backup captain in the form of Salt, who will handle the attack quite efficiently.

Even though England are the host, missing out on skipper Buttler will cost them a lot. Salt might manage the team, but Buttler's presence will change the entire team's structure. However, the hosts will hope for a good end to the series since Australia are always one step ahead of them.
