After being an integral part of the England team, Andrew Flintoff is set to part ways with the England cricket team before the upcoming series. As per reports, Flintoff argued with the white-ball skipper Jos Buttler and hence, he is leaving the batting coach's role in the future.

ECB is prepared to give Marcus Trescothick the charge of the England team who has served as a stand-in white-ball coach ahead of the upcoming Australia series. Flintoff has been a part of the team for one year now and now that he is leaving due to a rift with Buttler, it might not be a good sign for the English team.

Flintoff was with the team for a short time but his contributions were quite valuable for the team. Since last September he has been included in scouting work and consulting with the national team. He was also the head coach with the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred 2024 who won five wins out of seven games but failed to qualify for the playoffs.
