Pakistan fans urge Virat Kohli to support Babar Azam during his rough patch

Pakistan's white-ball skipper Babar Azam's form has dripped exponentially in recent times in all the formats, which is a concern for the player and the Board. While he's a fantastic player who has made various records and is currently in the 1st position of the ODI rankings, he is struggling to get a breakthrough, which is quite disappointing.

During this time, a section of Babar's fans have urged India's star batter Virat Kohli to extend his support to the player since he did the same during Kohli's rough patch. From 2019 to 2021, Kohli went through a similar state where he wasn't scoring many runs. The former Indian skipper was still scoring half-centuries, but in the case of Babar Azam, he is still struggling with the bat.

In the recently concluded Bangladesh series, Babar scored 64 runs in two games at an average of 16, which was one of the reasons why Pakistan's batting looked a little weak. Moreover, Babar hasn't scored a single international century since 2023 against Nepal. Even in Test matches, he has not scored a single since 2022 against New Zealand.

After clean sweeping Pakistan in their own backyard, Bangladesh have moved up to the fourth position in the points table. Their next assignment is against India and if they continue with their brilliant performance, they'll move ahead of New Zealand, who are currently in the 3rd position.

It was a disappointing and embarrassing series for Pakistan since they were playing with their full squad strength. Even with players like Mohammed Rizwan, Babar Azam, and Naseem Shah, Pakistan couldn't win a single match and lost to Bangladesh in their homegrounds. This loss will take some time to recover from but their next series is against England and considering their performance, they'll be quite concerned.
