Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is getting ready for the three-match Test series against New Zealand. The 37-year-old is currently sweating it out in the nets ahead of the first game in Bengaluru. The match is set to be held at the Chinnaswamy stadium on the 16th of October.
One fan who spotted Rohit in the nets and said “Pehle ball six kya”. It was in reference to Rohit’s recent blitz with the bat during Kanpur Test. India’s skipper turned around and replied to the fans and said “Pagal ho gaya kya” (are you mad).

On Thursday, news emerged that Rohit Sharma could one of the opening games in Border Gavaskar Trophy. The 37-year-old could sit out either the first game in Perth or the day and night game in Adelaide which would be the 2nd Test.

Rohit’s future with Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2025 seems unclear. The former MI skipper was seen meeting and leaving the franchise’ office recently. Former India star Harbhajan Singh has said that if Rohit enters the auction pool ahead of IPL 2025 he will fetch a lot of money.
The 44-year-old during a recent interaction in Delhi said “It will be interesting to see whether he will be retained or not. If he goes into the auction pool, it will be fascinating to see which team bids for him. I am sure many teams must be thinking around the same lines “
The former Indian star also said “Rohit Sharma, as a leader and as a player is amazing. He’s a top quality player , top quality captain, and leader. Even at 37, he still has a lot of cricket left in him. If Rohit enters the auction, he will fetch big bucks. It will be exciting to see the auction unfold”
Harbhajan Singh also stated that success hasn’t changed Rohit and he still hold his friends close. “Rohit toh yaaro ka yaar hai. Apna bhai hai, I am happy India won the World Cup under him. It’s always great to see him smiling. He respects his elders, and that’s one of his best qualities”
