MSK Prasad raised concern on unnecessary questions being asked on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's form. Prasad was in an interview with Times of India, where he spoke about the trend. He felt the need to sit with the duo and have things sorted. His comments came in the wake of several rumors about Rohit and Virat potentially playing their last ODI series against Australia and South Africa.

Prasad, who was the Head of the Selection Committee Indian National Team in the late 2010s, felt there;s no need to put Virat and Rohit under trial every time they bat. He felt the need to give the duo an assurance, especially given how they are performing in ODIs in 2025.

"You shouldn't be messing with the minds of such big players," - MSK Prasad

"You can't go into every series with the same discussions going around. One needs to sit with Kohli & Rohit and get everything sorted. You can't put them on trial everytime. First thing that needs to be ensured is that you shouldn't be messing with the minds of such big players. They are the ones who are performing," Prasad said to TOI.

Virat and Rohit played a key role in India's win in the Champions Trophy 2025. After they retired from Tests, Virat and Rohit have batted well in ODIs. While Virat has a fifty and a hundred to his name, Rohit has two fifties and a hundred to his name in four matches.
