Ahead of the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen practising in the nets. It seems like he is in great form as he was hitting long sixes in the nets before the match and was entertaining the crowd while others were enjoying watching him bat.Β

Moreover, former CSK player, Suresh Raina was also present in the nets and was mesmerized watching MS bat with elegance even at the age of 42. Undoubtedly, he is the most celebrated cricketer in India and the fans love watching him bat whenever he comes out on the field. The video of Dhoni surfaced all over the internet and the fans has gone crazy about it.Β

CSK are currently in the fourth position on the points table with two wins and two losses in four matches. This match is very important for the team and the new captain Ruturaj Gaikwad as this will create an impact on the later stage of the IPL. Even though the team seems balanced, the bowlers need to step up and take responsibility for the team if they want to qualify for the playoffs and defend their title.Β

'I thought we did well in the beginning...' - Captain Ruturaj talked about the pitch post the match

After CSK lost the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad seemed quite unhappy with the pitch and the team's batting performance. Unlike the CSK batters, SRH did really well in the powerplay overs where they played quite confidently and brought out most of the runs. During the post-match presentation, Ruturaj spoke about the pitch and the batters' performance.Β

"I thought we did well in the beginning (of the match), but they came back well later. It was a black soil pitch, so we expected the pitch to be slower, but it became slower and slower, and they used the boundary size well. We conceded too many in the batting PP, one dropped catch and one expensive over," said Gaikwad.
