In a dominant performance at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a convincing six-wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings last night.

CSK struggled to put up a big total first, reaching only 165 in their 20 overs. Shivam Dube provided a spark with a quickfire 45 off 24 balls, but tight bowling from SRH, particularly in the death overs, restricted CSK's scoring.

SRH chased down the target comfortably, winning with 11 balls to spare. Openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head got them off to a flying start. Aiden Markram anchored the chase with a well-composed 50 off 36 balls before Nitish Kumar Reddy sealed the win with a six. This victory was crucial for SRH, propelling them level on points with CSK in the IPL standings. It was also a strong showing at home, marking their second consecutive win at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Was it a tactical call?- Mohammed Kaif

A moment that occurred towards the end of CSK's innings has been noticed by former Indian cricketer, Mohammed Kaif. Ravindra Jadeja found himself in a controversial situation, possibly obstructing the field during a run-out attempt. The umpires conferred, but a surprising turn came when SRH skipper Pat Cummins withdrew a potential appeal.

This decision raised eyebrows, with former cricketer Mohammed Kaif questioning its motives. Kaif suggested it could be a tactical move by Cummins, considering Jadeja's struggles at the crease. He even went a step further, wondering if Cummins would have shown the same sportsmanship if a big name like Virat Kohli was involved, especially in a high-pressure T20 World Cup match.

"Two questions to Pat Cummins on withdrawing the obstructing the field appeal against Jadeja. Was it a tactical call to let a struggling Jadeja be the crease and keep Dhoni indoors? Would he have done the same if it was Virat Kohli at World T20?" Kaif wrote on his official X account earlier this morning.
