Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow and other English players in IPL 2024 set to return home to play T20I series against Pakistan

As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has almost reached the end of the league stages, certain English players will be leaving for the UK to play a T20I series against Pakistan.

As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has almost reached the end of the league stages, certain English players will be leaving for the UK to play a T20I series against Pakistan. The series will start on May 22 and will end on May 30. This series is like the warm game before the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 sets in.

Players like Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Phil Salt and Reece Topley will return home in the next few days to practice and prepare for the upcoming series and the marquee event. Moreover, Liam Livingstone has already left for England after PBKS got eliminated from the IPL 2024. 

The English players have given their best in the tournament and helped their teams win some unexpected matches. The World Cup will start on June 2 and will end on June 29 in the West Indies and the USA. The first match will be held between the USA and Canada. 

'IPL done for another year...' - Liam Livingstone on his Instagram account

Punjab Kings (PBKS) have already been eliminated from the IPL 2024 and hence, England's Liam Livingstone left for the UK. Before leaving, he left an emotional post on Instagram for the PBKS fans. Moreover, he also mentioned that he was injured and had to fix his knee. 

"IPL done for another year. Had to get my knee sorted for the upcoming World Cup. Thanks once again to the Punjab Kings fans for all their love and support. Disappointing season as a team and personally, but as always, I loved every minute of playing in the IPL," said Liam Livingstone on his Instagram account.
