Virat Kohli was excited and surprised watching Will Jacks bat from the non-striker end in the match against the Gurajat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Chasing a target of 201 runs, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) players batted beautifully and won the match by nine wickets. A brilliant century by the English batter Will Jacks and a marvellous half-century by Virat Kohli made the fans happy after a really long time.
The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad turned red after RCB won the match in the 16th over. Jacks scored 100 runs in 41 balls and hit Rashid Khan 29 runs in the 16th over. Moreover, Will went from 50 runs to 100 runs in just 7 minutes scoring the 2nd fastest century of the season.
While talking about his century in the dressing room, Virat jokingly said, "I was pissed off, I didn't smash the first ball for six but when I saw you at 94 with one to get, I was like 'Thank god! I didn't smash it.'"

Currently, RCB has won three games out of seven and still are alive in the tournament. If they win all the matches from here with solid NRR, they can qualify for the playoffs which will be a miracle in itself. It looks like the team is enjoying the games which are left and will look to give the play-offs a try.
'He kept his intensity up...' - Will Jacks talks about Virat Kohli's approach during the game
The English batter, Will Jacks played an amazing knock of 100 runs off 41 balls against the Gujarat Titans (GT). While playing alongside Virat Kohli, Jacks spoke about how the world-class batter helped in pushing him and encouraged him throughout the 2nd innings. Even though Jacks struggled for a bit, Virat kept backing him due to which he could score more.
"Faf and Virat got us off to a very good start. I struggled early on, but Virat kept his intensity up and gave me the chance to find my rhythm. Once we had the time-out, we said, "Let's get two really good overs here and we win the game." Once that happened, I just kept going and had an amazing feeling right now," said Will Jacks at the post-match presentation.
