The unfortunate incident shook the Australian citizens, tourists, and everyone else in the country. Vaughan, who is currently in the tour of Australia for the Ashes 2025/26 as a broadcaster, helped himself in a restaurant. As claimed by himself, Vaughan was locked in a restaurant nearby when the attack happened.

In his post on X, he thanked the emergency team and the guy who confronted the attackers. "Being locked in a restaurant in Bondi was scary .. Now home safe .. but thanks so much to the emergency services and the guy who confronted the terrorist .. thoughts with all who have been affected .. xxx," Vaughan wrote on X.
What happened in Sydney's Bondi Beach?
The NSW Police confirmed the incident with a post on X. It was claimed that two gunmen attacked multiple people in thr Bondi Beach, which resulted in ten deaths. "UPDATE: A police operation is ongoing after a public place shooting by two men at Bondi Beach earlier today," the NSW Police confirmed.

"Ten people have been confirmed dead, including a man believed to be one of the shooters. The second alleged shooter is in a critical condition. At this time, a further 11 people are reported to be injured, two of which are police officers,” the NSW Police's statement added.
