The Legends League Cricket (LLC) is set to return with its fifth season after a successful campaign in November-December 2023 that reached a whopping 1.56 billion globally. The upcoming season is expected to smash all the previous viewership records as the organisers are targeting some of the biggest names in cricket who have recently retired.

Former South African captain AB de Villiers, West Indies all-rounders Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo and English cricketers David Malan and Stuart Broad are among the legends who have been approached to add more glamour to the tournament.

The event is scheduled to take place from 11 September 2024 to 5 October 2024 in India and Qatar and registration for players is now open. Like the 2023 season, this time too there will be participation of six teams. It was Manipal Tigers who emerged victorious in the last edition after defeating Urbanrisers Hyderabad by five wickets in the final.

Registration window for player draft go live

By targeting a big and fresh set of players, LLC aims to attract more fans to the tournament. More than 120 players from nine countries participated in the last edition. This time the doors are opened for more players as the registration window for the player draft is now live. Players can register for the Legends League Cricket through the official website – www.llct20.com.

Speaking about the upcoming season, Raman Raheja, Co-Founder, of League of Legends Cricket said: “We are targeting the best players retired from international cricket to engage with Legends League Cricket for our cricketing fans. Suresh Raina post-retirement played his first series with us. With more participation from across the globe and a star cast of the best cricketers from yesteryears, this time the tournament is getting bigger and better with teams playing across the cities of India and Qatar.”

“This gives our fans an opportunity to watch their favourite stars live and experience world-class cricket in their own cities. The average age of Legends playing at LLC was around 37 years in last season and with Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Aaron Finch, and other star cricketers playing with us, the tournament is definitely attracting a lot of eyeballs,” Raheja added.
