The runners-up too have made a few big-name acquisitions ahead of the new season. The onus will be on some of the star overseas players who will hope to get Dambulla their first title ever.

Pallekele is known to be a high-scoring ground and since this is the first game of the season it will be a great track to bat on. The pacers will get good early help with the ball while the spinners will play a key role in the latter half.
