Karun Nair: 4 IPL teams that could bid for him in 2025 season

Karun Nair, one of India's most consistent players hasn't had much luck in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for several reasons but the top one will be his performance. Undoubtedly, he's the best player in red-ball cricket and somewhat struggles in the shorter format of the game. Hence, because of his consistent failures in the IPL tournament, he did not get much opportunity. However, he had a brilliant domestic season last year and might get a chance to be picked by some IPL teams in the upcoming mega auctions.

He started his IPL journey with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) team and then moved on to Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils. Owners would be willing to spend some money on a reliable batter like him who will be a good addition to their team. Plus his experience will be an additional point for the youngsters in the league.

1. Chennai Super Kings

Even though the Chennai Super Kings owners will have some other players in their minds, picking up Karun Nair will benefit them in every aspect. Firstly, as mentioned above, he's a reliable batter and CSK will be looking for a middle-order batter who can play like MS Dhoni since his inclusion is still in doubt. Now, skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad is a consistent player and will require equal temperament and Nair is definitely the one. 

2. Delhi Capitals

If we look at the previous teams of Delhi Capitals, they have had batters who are mostly top-order specialists. They'll definitely need the expertise of Nair in the middle order as he is a brilliant batter and can play spin extremely well. Moreover, with matches against teams like CSK, and KKR, one needs to have a spin specialist batter who can target certain bowlers and just smash them out of the park and Nair has the power and the motivation to do so.

3. Lucknow Super Giants

The Lucknow Super Giants will also be in need of a batter who can handle the innings from one end. If they go for Karun Nair, then they can pick up players like Ayush Badoni who will hit from one end which will make the game easier for Nair to just settle and play his real game. Plus, Nair has the power and strength to hit huge sixes out of the park which is another positive point for the LSG team. 

4. Punjab Kings

Nair's return to Punjab Kings will be an interesting swap as he left the team some years ago. However, this time the team needs him. Punjab lacked batters in the previous season including the openers. Hence, Nair's role in the PBKS team will be of a top-order player who can give a good start to the game in the powerplays. If he sticks at one end, it will be enough since he will get time to showcase his strokeplay.
