India captain Rohit Sharma opined about Yashasvi Jaiswal's controversial wicket in the recently concluded fourth Test match against Australia. The incident happened in the last ball of the 71st over when Pat Cummins bowled a short ball around the leg side, and Jaiswal went to play the pull shot but missed it.
The ball went to the wicketkeeper with a slight nick on the gloves. The on-field umpire gave it not-out, but Australia went for the DRS. Initially, the third umpire gave it not out as well since there was no spike on the Snickometer. However, a clear deflection was visible to the naked eye, due to which the third umpire, Sharfuddoula, overturned his decision to out. Jaiswal seemed frustrated and spoke with the umpire before leaving the ground.
In the press conference, Rohit Sharma gave a detailed explanation as to why he felt it was out. "It didn't show in Snicko, but with the naked eyes, there was a deflection. In all fairness, it looked like he touched it, but more often than not, we fall on the wrong side of the decisions," said Rohit Sharma at the presser.

What an amazing Test match: Pat Cummins
Australia won the fourth Test match against India by 184 runs at MCG. Skipper Pat Cummins won the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance in the game. He scored 49 and 41 runs and claimed six wickets in the game. While speaking at the post-match presentation, Cummins was elated with the win as Australia took the lead in the series, 2-1.
"What an amazing Test match, one of the best to be part of, the crowd has been ridiculous and cricket has been just as good, pretty happy in change room at the moment, pretty happy to contribute. Marnus helped me out in the second innings big time, never really know what you going to get with our batting, fortunately, it came off in this game," said Pat Cummins at the post-match presentation.
