Looking at the Indian team in the series against South Africa, especially in the Guwahati Test, where both batters and bowlers were outplayed, it seems evident that the team needs massive changes in personnel. India has been playing bowlers who are either well past their prime or the ones who aren't big turners of the ball.

Barring Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah, others aren't as good in helpful conditions. Hence, it's ideal to back Akash Deep as the second pacer, along with Harsh Dubey and Tanush Kotian in the spin bowling department, who are good turners of the ball and are capable of batting too.
