The Asia Cup 2025 will be played in the UAE from the 9th of September to the 28th of September. The inaugural match of the tournament will take place between Hong Kong and Afghanistan. The tournament will also feature teams like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, and United Arab Emirates.

The tournament has already been controversial due to India's decision to play Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack, Dream11 opting out of the sponsorship, and some of the selections in the Indian squad. As BCCI has not been able to find an able replacement in time, India will play the tournament without any sponsor on their jersey.
