Jasprit Bumrah was seen bowling with taped shoes during the 2nd day of the third Test match in Brisbane. The Indian pacer was seen with a tape on his left shoe which left the fans confused and wondered the reason behind it. It has come to light that Bumrah didn’t wear the shoe that was provided by his sponsors.

Since the pacer was wearing shoes of a different brand he had to tape it up to avoid any problems with his sponsors. Harbhajan Singh who was on commentary duties noticed it and recounted a similar incident that happened with him. According to the former Indian star, Sachin Tendulkar had given him shoes as a gift which he found more comfortable than the ones he was contracted to.

Travis Head revels after scoring special ton

Australian batter Travis Head and Steve Smith stole the show with their centuries on the 2nd day of the Gabba Test. Head was out for 152 runs from 160 balls when he was dismissed by Bumrah. The left-handed batter recorded his 2nd successive ton of the series after his 140 in Adelaide.

Speaking to the host broadcaster at the end of the day, Head said “Pretty special to do this after that ton at the Adelaide Oval. It's all about being as positive as I can, I thought that I had to spend some time in the middle, credit to the top-3 guys for having stuck out against the new ball, it made my task easier and I could play my shots, I felt pretty positive against the new ball, but it was fun to be aggressive. I like to play long innings, I would want to bat for a long time”

When asked about the special from Bumrah, the Aussie batter replied “He bowled brilliantly, bowled wicket taking balls, and was always tough facing up against him” Head also praised Smith for his knock and said “When he bats well, I always go unnoticed, I thought he was moving (his feet) very well, it allowed me to be proactive as well. I just enjoy what I do, I just want to play well for the team, for the guys in the team and I'm enjoying”
