Millions of Indian fans were left moist-eyed after India's T20 World Cup win on Saturday. Robin Uthappa and Ravichandran Ashwin weren’t any different as the two stars were seen visibly moved to tears after the World Cup triumph on Saturday.

Robin Uthappa, who was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup win, paid rich tributes to the Indian team. The former Indian star praised the outgoing coach Rahul Dravid for the way he celebrated after the title was won.

Speaking during his chat with Ravichandran Ashwin, the former Indian star said, “I could feel every person's emotion so strongly. I cried for each individual player for the first 20 minutes after the victory. I went and bowed before God and to say thank you.”

Struggling to hold back his tears, Robin Uthappa went on to say, “As a cricketer who played for India, who has represented the country to say thank you for the victory because this was so long in coming. Everyone who played for India and represented our country knows the kind of crap we are put through.”

Rahul Dravid was on his last assignment as the Indian coach and was thrilled with the win. The 51-year-old was celebrating wildly after India won the title. Uthappa had made his debut under Rahul Dravid and has shared the dressing room with the outgoing India coach.

While praising Rahul Dravid, the former India star said, “If I look at Rahul Dravid's journey as a coach and as a player. Think about how many years he's played. And in his last game as the coach and possibly his last day of ever being associated with the BCCI, that is the day he finally gets his first trophy. We saw that 50-year-old man celebrate like a 5-year-old kid. This is the beauty of sport.”

Even Ravichandran Ashwin could be seen wiping his tears as he spoke in Tamil and told how much the moment meant to him. The Indian star player also went on to say how he hugged his wife and was crying in happiness and taking in the moment.
