India’s young batting sensation Nitish Kumar Reddy scored a ‘century to be remembered for the years’ to rescue India from a miserable position in the ongoing Boxing Day Test. Reddy went unbeaten on the individual score of 105 runs at the end of the third day’s game in MCG. He was accompanied by India’s number 11 batter Mohammed Siraj at the end of the day’s play. Meanwhile, Reddy has also extended his gratitude to Siraj in a special style with his latest Instagram story.

However, reaching his Test career’s maiden century wasn’t that easy for Reddy as he went through a lot of ups and downs in the Indian lower-order batting. When Washington Sundar was caught by Steve Smith off Nathan Lyon’s delivery, Reddy was batting at the individual score of 97. Then came the number 10 batter Jasprit Bumrah and he too was dismissed on the third ball of the next over.

There was a sense of fear among all Indian spectators, alongside Nitish Reddy’s father who was also there in the stands as Siraj had to face the remaining three balls of the over. For more to the fear of the Indian fans, the over was being bowled by the Aussie skipper and star pacer, Pat Cummins.

Somehow, Siraj managed to survive three deliveries bowled by Pat Cummins which gave Reddy a chance to complete his century in the next over. Subsequently, the 21-year-old didn’t disappoint himself and the fans and completed his century with a four followed by a special celebration.

In the same line of events, Reddy posted a special story for Mohammed Siraj thanking him; he shared a photo in which he and Siraj are hugging each other. Reddy wrote with the picture, “I also believe in Siraj bhai’.
