Indian cricket star Harbhajan Singh has urged the Indian cricket team to make two changes for the Brisbane Test. The former Indian star has suggested bringing Washinton Sundar into the team instead of R. Ashwin. Another change suggested by Harbhajan is to replace Harshit Rana with seam bowler Prasidh Krishna.

During his chat with Star Sports’ show, Follow the Blues, the former Indian legend said, “I feel we might see one change. Washington Sundar might come back and play in Brisbane. Although Ashwin didn’t bowl much and didn’t get much opportunity to do anything special, the way Washington Sundar’s first match went, he picked up two wickets and is slightly better with the bat, I feel he will be played.”

Washinton Sundar made his Test debut at the same venue during the 2021 Test match. The left-handed batter scored a half-century on debut and also did well with the ball. Sundar played the first Test in Perth before Ashwin replaced him

Prasidh Krishna to replace Harshit Rana in Brisbane?

While speaking on the Follow the Blues show on Star Sports, Harbhajan Singh also mentioned one more change. The 33-year-old said that Prasidh Krishna can come into the game in place of Harshit Rana. In the previous game in Adelaide, Rana bowled 16 overs and was carted for 86 runs without picking a wicket.

“I feel we will see one change in fast bowling. Prasidh Krishna can probably play in place of Harshit Rana. He has the height and can get the ball to bounce. I feel he can be quite handy on that fast wicket,” said Harbhajan Singh on Star Sports.

The former Indian star was also asked about the likely batting order for India with Rohit Sharma failing to score in the middle order. Harbhajan Singh said that he didn’t see any changes being made by the team management.

The 44-year-old veteran said, “They will probably go with the same kind of batting order that worked for them in Perth. Rohit is also not in great form. So why would you send him up the order when he is not in form? I feel you should start with KL Rahul and Yashasvi only, and Rohit should bat in the middle order.”
