While the viewers were anticipating Hardik Pandya's return to Test cricket, former India batter Parthiv Patel has shattered the dreams. Parthiv revealed the real reason why Hardik played with red-ball and not white-ball in England during a practice session. He also spoke about how he doesn't expect Hardik to return to Test cricket because of his fitness.

"I'm not looking at Hardik Pandya (in Tests). He was practising with the red ball only because the white ball wasn't available. I don't think his body allows four-day and five-day matches. He has to play at least one first-class game (before being considered for selection in Tests), which is very unlikely," Parthiv said.

Hardik has played incredibly well in all the formats of the game, but when it comes to Test cricket, his body doesn't support it because of its duration. His body is injury-prone, and because of that, he doesn't participate in red-ball cricket even though he can ace it. A video went viral where Hardik was seen practicing with a red ball, which gave rise to speculations about his return to Test cricket.

India to play against Australia in November 2024

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 is scheduled to start on November 22, 2024, when India will travel to Australia to take part in the series. A total of five matches will be played on Australian land, and it will be extremely fun and interesting to watch because of the competition between the players. This time it will be Rohit Sharma who will lead the Indian team against the mighty Australians, who are currently in action in a 5-match ODI series against England.

Interestingly, under Virat Kohli's captaincy, India didn't lose a single BGT series; hence, it will be a task for the present captain, Rohit, to properly fill in the shoes. Rohit is an incredible batter and has led the Men in Blue to their 2nd T20 World Cup title in 2024. Now it's time for him to do the same during the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024.
