The much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 is scheduled to start on November 22 in Australia. After the New Zealand series, the Men in Blue will travel to Australia to play the 5-match Test series. Ahead of the series, Star Sports has conducted some fun sessions with the Australian cricketers where they were asked some questions and they had to reply with a cricketer's name.
Australia's stunning opener, Travis Head, said India's star batter, Rishabh Pant, is the 'most Australian cricketer' in the Indian team. Head admires Pant for his fearless attitude and the way he bats in crunch situations. Even Australia's ODI captain Mitchell Marsh opened up about his admiration for Pant and said he sometimes wishes the wicketkeeper-batter to be an Australian because of his match-winning spirit.
Pant is one of the most-liked cricketers in the world, as all the current and former players praise him for his never-giving-up attitude. He's a clutch player for India and holds the confidence to win games single-handedly. Against England and Australia, Pant is someone who never loses his calm and plays his tricky and weird shots, helping India gain victory.
Why do you guys spread so much fake news on social media: Rishabh Pant
Recently, Rishabh Pant lashed out at a Twitter user who talked about the player's involvement with the RCB team. As per the user, Pant reached out to RCB since the captaincy position was vacant, but Kohli didn't want him in the team because of his political tactics. The keeper-batter took to Twitter to burst the fake news and urged his followers to not believe in everything they hear from strangers. The spreading of fake news is increasing more and more due to the presence of social media and the people somewhat believe in it as well.
Pant said, "Fake news. Why do you guys spread so much fake news on social media? Be sensible guys so bad. Don’t create untrustworthy environment for no reason. It’s not the first time and won’t be last but I had to put this out. Please always re-check with your so-called sources. Every day it’s becoming worse. Rest it’s up to you guys. It wasn’t just for you it’s for a lot of people who are spreading misinformation."
