Ishan Kishan could be in the running to be picked for the national side if he performs well. The last time Ishan Kishan played for India was during the home T20I series against Australia.

Jitesh Sharma then played as the wicketkeeper during the South African series post which Ishan Kishan made his return home. A few weeks earlier the 26-year-old spoke about the situations behind his move.

Post his decision to come home, the youngster didn’t return to domestic cricket. This led the BCCI to take staunch action against Ishan Kishan who lost his yearly contract. His form during the IPL 2024 season wasn’t up to the mark and he wasn’t considered for selection for the T20 World Cup.

Duleep Trophy is set to see massive stars take part with the major two names being that of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. There are massive doubts over Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane being picked. The two veteran batters haven’t played for India since June 2023 and it seems their chapter with the Indian team is now over.
