Reports: Ishan Kishan set to return to domestic cricket after having word with BCCI

After a long gap from cricket, Ishan Kishan is finally ready to make a comeback in the domestic season after the recent controversy over his contract. After having a conversation with BCCI, Ishan has come to a conclusion to play in the upcoming domestic games for Jharkhand.

As per reports, the BCCI selectors convinced him to return to domestic games, opening up his chances of selection for the Indian team. In the earlier months of 2024, Ishan was in massive trouble as he refused to play domestic and international games. He had taken a break from cricket due to mental fatigue but didn't return for a long time.

That led to a huge controversy, leading to his loss of BCCI's central contract. Even skipper Rohit Sharma encouraged him to play in the domestic league, but Ishan disagreed. Now, he's all set to play in the upcoming domestic match. Moreover, he might also lead Jharkhand in the upcoming tournament.  

India to chase 241 runs in 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka's terrific batting performance blew the minds of the Indian bowlers as the Lankan Lions scored 240 runs in the 2nd ODI game. Even after collapsing in the middle overs, Sri Lanka managed to put up a good target on the board. Thanks to the tail-enders who showed their batting skills and attacked the Indian bowlers towards the end of the innings. 

Now, Indian batters will have to play well since the hosts have a good bowling attack as well. Even though Wanindu Hasaranga is out of the tournament, other players are quite skilful and will make the most out of this opportunity. The top order will have to stay intact until the powerplay, and the middle order will have to bat sensibly.
