Salaman Butt slams Babar Azam over his form

The last few months haven’t been easy for Babar Azam as he hasn’t been in the best form with the bat. Former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt recently took to his YouTube channel to speak about the form slump of Babar Azam and compared it to Virat Kohli’s own form slump.

“Yes, absolutely. Look, personally, as a player who has been consistently scoring runs, and considering that he hasn't had a big innings in a while, and with questions around his captaincy, there is definitely pressure on him. But who better to handle pressure than him? This player has delivered such excellent performances, so he knows well how to make a comeback into form,” he said.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan batter Basit Ali has come out and thrown his weight behind the form of Babar Azam. During his chat on his YouTube channel, Basit Ali said, “Babar Azam will score five centuries in the coming months. Babar has the best chance to leave the best batters behind, whether it is Williamson or Root. It is very easy chance, now that the pressure of captaincy is off him, he should forget about the captaincy. He should remove the thought and focus on scoring runs.”

The former Pakistani batter speaking about the upcoming series said, “Only rain can save Bangladesh; otherwise, there is no comparison. Pakistan will have a big advantage in the home conditions. Pakistan have also beaten Bangladesh in Tests in Bangladesh.”
