India's disappointing loss against Sri Lanka was nothing less than a nightmare for Gautam Gambhir and Co. Unexpected performances from players led to India's defeat in the series. Moreover, it was an unforgettable series for India as they broke the curse of losing the ODI series against India. Now, they have emerged as winners in an ODI series after 27 years, which is an incredible achievement.

However, former Pakistan player Tanvir Ahmed took a jibe at the Indian Cricket team after their poor performance in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. As per the former pacer, the Indian team is nothing with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah, and the Men in Green can easily defeat them in the absence of these star players.

"First look into your own performances and then have suggestions on Pakistan. If Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah does not play against Pakistan, Pakistan will beat India hands down," Tanvir said as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.

You see what happens to the Indian batting lineup from here on in the future: Tanvir Ahmed

As the Indian team struggled to chase scores under 250 in the three ODIs, Ahmed feels the team will collapse in the future after the star players' retirement. The middle order isn't strong, and the young players aren't taking up the responsibility, which is a big issue for the Indian team.

"You see what happens to the Indian batting lineup from here on in the future. The bowling lineup might work it out but the batting lineup will find it difficult. All the new batters in this Indian team at the moment, barring Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, they cannot carry forward this batting lineup in the future," added Tanvir Ahmed.
