Rohit Sharma speaking at the end of the game said, “Disappointing week for us; we didn't play well enough to win the game, and Australia played better than us. There were times in the game where we could have grabbed those opportunities, but we failed to do that, and that cost us the game.”

The Indian skipper failed to fire with the bat as he was out for scores of 3 and 6 during the 2nd Test. None of India’s batters were successful in putting up a substantial score on the board. After the amazing performance in Perth, opening batters Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul had a poor game with the bat.

While speaking at the end of the game, Rohit Sharma also said, “We are quite looking forward to it. There's not much time in between as well. We want to go out there and think about what we did right in Perth and what we did last time when we were here. Some really good memories there; hopefully we understand the challenges of every Test match. We want to start well and play well.”

Australian skipper Pat Cummins was happy with the win, which saw the home team continue their dominance in Pink Ball matches. “Great week. We knew we were far away from the team we wanted to be in Perth. This is back to how we want to play.”.

Pat Cummins also praised his star players, Mitchell Starc and Travis Head, who won the game with the bat and ball. “Having someone like Starc, he's amazing; he just does it time and time again. He's done it for over a decade now. Feel very lucky and privileged to have him in our team. Head loves batting here Again, one of those momentum-shifts, the game could have gone either way when he walked out to bat but he took it straight out of their hands.”
