As the T20 World Cup 2024 has ended, cricket fans are waiting for the next big ICC tournament, the World Test Championship 2025. The 2023-25 cycle will be coming to an end soon, and the finals will be held in England in 2025. As the championship is getting contested with each game, India have maintained the first position, followed by Australia in the second position.

The possibility of change in the table is open since some exciting series are coming ahead, starting with the West Indies tour of England. They'll be playing a 3-match series in England, which will be absolutely fun to watch and might change the course of the points table.

Here's the ICC WTC 2025 points table

1. India

India have maintained the first position in the points table with six wins from nine matches. With this, they are at 74 points, and the win percentage is 68.51. Hence, they are leading the table. Their next Test match is against Bangladesh, which starts in September. Until then, they'll have to wait patiently and hope the points table remains the same.

2. Australia

Australia are in the 2nd position of the points table with eight wins in 12 matches. They have 90 points under their name, but the points percentage is 62.50. Hence, they are below India even though their points are more than those of the Men in Blue. Moreover, Australia will play their next match against India in November 2024.

3. New Zealand

Until now, New Zealand have played just six matches and won three. So, their percentage is 50, and hence, they are in third place. Their next game is also against India in October 2024, and the next series is against England. This will be a good chance for the Black Caps to win a few games and turn the points table in their favor.

4.  Sri Lanka

The Lankan Lions have maintained a fourth position in the WTC points table. While they played four test matches, they won two out of them. Hence, their percentage is 50. Sri Lanka's next series is against England in August, during which they'll get a chance to win matches and increase their win percentage.

5. Pakistan

Pakistan played five games and won two of them. Hence, their win percentage is 36.66. Their next lined-up series' are against Bangladesh, England, South Africa, and the West Indies. They have a huge opportunity to turn the tables in their favor by winning the matches against some of the teams.

6. West Indies

The chances of West Indies qualifying for the WTC Finals seem bleak since they have won only 1 match out of four. Their win percentage is 33.33, so they are in sixth place. Their upcoming Test series is against England, where they must change their fortunes, or else they'll be out of the race.

7. South Africa

Like the West Indies, South Africa have won only 1 game out of four games. However, they lost three games, which made their win percentage 25. They have their next series against West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. The Proteas have a strong side, and they'll definitely look to make a comeback in the upcoming time.

8. Bangladesh

Bangladesh has also lost three games out of four, which makes their win percentage 25.00. With the next series against Pakistan, India, and West Indies, their chances of qualifying are next to negligible. However, in a game of cricket, nothing is impossible. if Bangladesh plays unbelievable cricket in the upcoming series, they can definitely qualify for the WTC Finals.

9. England

Being a Test-playing nation, England's position in the points table is quite shocking. As a team, they are absolutely amazing. However, their consistent loss against India decreased their chances of qualifying. In 10 games, they have won only three, which is not a good sign for the team. However, their upcoming series is against West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, which might be a turning point for them.
