The incident in question happened in the early part of the game with seamer Khaleel Ahmed being seen at the top of his run-up. CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad can be seen walking up to the bowler who put his hands inside his left pocket. The cameras saw Gaikwad and Khaleel get involved in a short chat.
What raised the suspicion of the fans was that as Gaikwad was walking back, Khaleel handed him something. CSK’s skipper was quick to put whatever was given to him in his pocket. Many fans were upset and questioned the move on social while another section of fans defended the act and claimed no wrongdoing.
