The Player of the Tournament of the Women's World Cup 2025 felt their team got to play more matches, and the WPL was introduced after 2017. She noted that the India Women's team used to play fewer matches in a year before 2017, which changed for good. She felt the Indian team might get to play more matches after winning the World Cup.

"It will have a huge impact. I can't even express it in words. Earlier, we didn't have that many matches in a year, but after 2017, things really started changing, thanks to the BCCI. We began getting more games, even Test matches, and then the WPL," Deepti said to Cricbuzz.
Will the Women's World Cup 2025 win have a similar impact as the Men's 1983 World Cup win?
Many feel that the Indian Women's team winning the 2025 World Cup could have a similar impact as that of the Men's team winning the 1983 World Cup. After Kapil Dev's team won in the 1980s, India became a powerhouse in Men's Cricket.

There could be an increase in the number of matches in Women's cricket, number of teams in the WPL. number of Test matches in a year, and hence better pay. The Women's team is likely to be branded better, as there are more sponsors likely to help them following their biggest win.
