DC faced a horrific collapse amidst their brilliant run chase against KKR in the ongoing 48th game of the Indian Premier League 2025. At one moment in 13.1 overs, they were comfortably heading to the 205-run target, scoring 136 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 13.1 overs.

In an unfortunate line of events, then Sunil Narine’s sensational bowling happened to dismantle DC’s middle-order, with a horrific collapse. He claimed 2 wickets in this third over and the 14th over of the DC innings. He dismissed Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs within a span of just 4 balls and only 2 runs.

Later in the next and last over of his spell, the Caribbean stalwart dismissed the well-settled DC vice-captain, Faf du Plessis, on the second ball of the 16th over to give another quick blow to the hosts.

KKR recover after the shaky start in the second innings

Speaking of the current action of the game between DC and KKR, the hosts are struggling with a dismal stage in the match, losing 8 wickets at the score of 168 runs in 18.1 overs, having Vipraj Nigam and Dushmantha Chameera there in the middle with the individual scores of 18 and 2 runs, respectively.

Star KKR spinner Sunil Narine, in his four-over spell, scalped 3 wickets at just 29 runs, alongside 2 wickets picked by Varun Chakravarthy. Besides these two, Anukul Roy and Vaibhav Arora have also claimed a wicket each.

Earlier in the first innings, KKR had posted a big total of 204 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, owing to the combined contribution of the batters. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh scored 44 and 36 runs, respectively, following 27 runs by Sunil Narine and 26 runs each contributed by Rahmanullah Gurbaz and skipper Ajinkya Rahane.
