DC’s Dushmantha Chameera executed a sensational ‘catch of the tournament’ to dismiss KKR’s Anukul Roy on a golden duck in the ongoing DC vs KKR game. The moment came on the fourth ball of the last over in the KKR innings when Starc bowled a fuller length delivery on Anukul Roy’s pads, and the latter flicked it towards the square leg.

DC lose quick wickets in the run chase

Speaking of the action of the game between DC and KKR, the hosts’ skipper Axar Patel won the toss and asked GT to bat first. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh contributed with the knocks of 44 and 36 runs off 32 and 25 balls. Besides these two, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Sunil Narine, and Ajinkya Rahane also scored 26, 27, and 26 runs, respectively.

On the back of these contributions, the visitors posted a big total of 204 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

The veteran DC pacer Mitchell Starc scalped 3 wickets for KKR in the first innings, alongside 2 wickets each picked by Vipraj Nigam and Axar Patel. Dushmantha Chameera also picked a wicket in her three-over stint.

While chasing the target in the second innings, DC have scored 70 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in just 7.5 overs. Faf du Plessis and skipper Axar Patel are there in the middle with individual scores of 32 and 8 runs, respectively. Anukul Roy and Vaibhav Arora have scalped a wicket each for KKR in the second innings so far.
