After the conclusion of the first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, a major change happened in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 points table. After an embarrassing loss against Bangladesh, Pakistan have now slipped to the 8th position in the WTC points table, which is even more embarrassing than the loss itself. With only two wins out of six matches, Pakistan have to buckle up, or else will lose their chance to play in the WTC finals.
However, Bangladesh have moved up in the points table and have reached the 6th position. It's a good improvement for them, considering everything happening around them. They have won two games out of five and have a good chance of moving up the table slowly. They have some difficult series coming up next, but their chances of qualifying will increase if they manage to show great performance.
Another important development happened as England moved to the 4th position with seven wins out of 14 matches. They won the 1st Test against Sri Lanka and now have climbed up the table. They were in the ninth position once upon a time, but the kind of comeback they have made is commendable. The top three teams should fasten their belts now because England are coming after the top two spots.

India and Australia have retained their position as of now but with England's progress, it will be important for them to win their upcoming games. New Zealand have also got a competition other than the top two. However, New Zealand and India have plenty of matches left which is a positive point for them.
