The Champions Trophy 2025 is set to witness the biggest game of the tournament between two sides with storied pasts.  Pakistan and India have played each other four times in this tournament, with both having two games each. The Men in Green are the defending champions, having beaten India in the 2017 finals. India, on the other hand, will want to exact revenge for the huge loss against their arch-rivals. 

Pakistan (PAK) began the tournament with high expectations in their first match against New Zealand. All that went to waste as the hosts lost the match by 60 runs and now need to win the game. Haris Rauf said that the match is a do-or-die game for the hosts and a loss will end their journey in the tournament. The injury to Fakhar Zaman is yet another headache and Imam Ul Haq will make his way into the side. 

India (IND) began their Champions Trophy campaign with a key win over Bangladesh by six wickets. Shubman Gill’s century and Mohammed Shami’s fifer highlighted the day for the Men in Blue. Rohit Sharma knows that his team cannot take Pakistan lightly as their opponents play their best cricket with their backs against the wall. The one huge worry for India will be the form of Virat Kohli who managed to score just 22 runs in the last match.

Dubai’s playing surface stayed true to its nature with ample in it for the slower bowlers. The best time to bat is when the ball is new and the captain winning the toss will look to chase first. Considering the hot climate in the first half, batters in particular will find it difficult. There will be a good chance for seam for the bowlers early in the match with the bounce and carry set to be for the pace bowlers liking. It could be a low-scoring encounter and the role of the middle-order batters will be key on Sunday
