Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag was amused to hear Pakistan's batter Babar Azam's pet name as 'Bobzy' during a chat show with Cricbuzz. His reaction was priceless when the host asked, "Kya Bobzy kar lege?" Sehwag laughed at the question and then went on to ask, "Bobzy hai kaun pehle mujhe ye batao? (Who is Bobzy? Tell me that first). Bobzy, King, aur kitne naam hai unke? (Bobzy, King, how many more names does he have?)"

Pakistan lost their first game of the Champions Trophy 2025 against New Zealand, and many blamed Babar's slow knock of 64 runs in 90 balls, including six boundaries and one six. The Kiwis, on the other hand, were in terrific form, moving around the field with the bat and the ball.

Tom Latham and Will Young smashed an outstanding century, helping New Zealand get past the 300-run mark. They won the game by 60 runs. With this win, New Zealand have gotten a splendid start with brilliant NRR, which will help them in the upcoming days. They still have two more games to go, one against India and one against Bangladesh. For an incredible knock, Latham was given the POTM.

Felt nice to contribute: Tom Latham

New Zealand's middle-order batter, Tom Latham, scored 118 runs off 104 balls, including ten boundaries and three sixes. He batted brilliantly throughout the game, making it impossible for the Pakistan team to get victory. Latham received the Player of the Match award for his performance.

"Yeah, certainly helps when you played on a surface before. Felt nice to contribute; Will Young played exceptionally and then to get to 320 was just brilliant. When I came in, it was about building a partnership. We could do that and then improve the run rate, and then GP came in and played an exceptional hand once again," said Tom Latham.
