Indian batting department has always been strong on any day. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been undergoing inconsistent form with the bat. Shubman Gill, on the other hand, has hit two successive centuries to show glimpses of his form in the ODI format. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are also in decent run-scoring form with the bat in recent times.

Mohammad Rizwan will hope for much better batting performance from his team, unlike their last game versus New Zealand. The onus of batting well will be on Babar Azam, who scored 64 in the first match. Pakistan’s former skipper was called out for his slow scoring in the game against New Zealand. Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha will be other batters the Pakistani fans will hope to see score runs against India.

Here are the top 3 batters to watch out for from PAK vs IND clash on Sunday

3- Virat Kohli

India’s former skipper Virat Kohli was out after scoring just 22 runs in the first match. One cannot discount the 36-year-old from recapturing his best form with the bat in a game against Pakistan. So far, Kohli has played 16 matches against Pakistan and scored 678 runs with an average of 52 with three tonnes and two fifties. Kohli’s best of 183 not out came against the Men in Green during a massive chase in the Asia Cup 2012.

2- Babar Azam

Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is one of the best batters of the modern era. Babar has played eight ODI matches against India and scored just 218 runs with just one fifty. The 30-year-old, though, has a good record in the UAE with 1096 runs from 30 matches. Babar Azam has hit five centuries and five fifties with an average of 64. Returning to familiar conditions might help the right-handed batter regain his form with the bat.

1- Shubman Gill

Indian ODI vice-captain Shubman Gill has played 51 matches in this format and scored 2668 runs with an average of 62. The last four innings played by Gill have seen him score two half-centuries and two centuries. His experience of playing Shaheen Shah Afridi from the Under-19 days will be a huge advantage for India. In three ODI matches vs. Pakistan, Gill has scored 84 runs but his current form could see Gill better those numbers.
