The defending champions CSK took the two-time champions, KKR in the 22nd game of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024. Both teams played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on April 8, 2024. The hosts CSK won the toss and asked Shreyas Iyer’s men to bat first.

While chasing the target, skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad played a brilliant and match-defining knock of 67 runs off 58 balls, with 9 fours. Besides him, Daryl Mitchell and Shivam Dube also scored 25 and 28 runs, respectively for CSK. These knocks helped the hosts chase down the target in 17.4 overs, scoring 141 runs for the loss of 3 wickets and winning the match by 7 wickets.
Sunil Narine and Vaibhav Arora scalped 1 and 2 wickets, respectively for the visitors. The rest of the KKR bowlers couldn’t scalp any wicket while defending the target.
