Delhi Capitals (DC) has finally announced the replacement of Harry Brook for the rest of the tournament. The South African fast bowler, DC signed Lizaad Williams at his base price of INR 50 lakhs. He made his international debut in 2021 and has represented South Africa in two Tests, four One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 11 T20 Internationals.

Harry Brook has opted out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after his grandmother's death. He took to Twitter to inform his fans that he will not be able to participate in this year's IPL as he lost his grandmother and hence, decided to pull out of the tournament. He wanted to spend some quality time with his family members and also take care of his mental health.

DC's performance in this tournament has remained average as they have just won one out of their five games. The massive reason behind their failure is less cooperation from the team when it comes to tough situations. Captain Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw have played some great knocks, while the bowlers have failed to perform. It will be intriguing to see how they play throughout the rest of the tournament.

Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 29 runs

The 20th match of the season finally saw Mumbai Indians (MI) clinch their first victory after losing three games in a trot. MI defeated the DC by 29 runs after scoring 235 runs in the first innings. It seemed like the MI batters came back to form and hit the bowlers all over the park. Moreover, MI became the first team to score 235 runs without any batter scoring a half-century. It was indeed a good day for them after struggling for a few days.

On the other hand, DC's batters did a fantastic job while chasing the monumental target. Thanks to Tristan Stubbs's (71) and Prithvi Shaw's (66) magnificent efforts, the team went past 200 runs, however, he lost the match due to a lack of support from other batters. The only good takeaway for DC will be their batters' performance in the tournament as the bowlers are still struggling to find their rhythm.
