Overview
- Glenn Maxwell smashed 47 off just 18 balls, striking at 261.11
- Australia go 4-0 up in the T20I series
- Cameron Green registered his third fifty in the last four T20Is
Glenn Maxwell’s blistering knock guided Australia to their fourth consecutive win in the ongoing five-match T20I series against West Indies, as they won by three wickets in St Kitts.
While chasing a target of 206, the visitors had a tough start, losing their skipper Mitchell Marsh for a two-ball duck in the first over. Then, Josh Inglis joined Maxwell in the middle and added 66 runs for the second wicket. Inglis got out for 51 off 30, and then came the in-form Cameron Green.
Maxwell, on the other hand, continued his aggressive, attacking shots and ended up scoring 47 off 18, striking at 261.11, including six sixes and one boundary. Green continued his good form and registered his third fifty in this series, scoring an unbeaten 55 off 35.

But when they were reduced to 134/5, things seemed a bit tricky. However, Aaron Hardie scored a crucial 23 off 16 to support Green, adding 51 runs for the sixth wicket. In the end, Green’s unbeaten knock ensured that Australia chased down the target with four balls to spare.
For the West Indies, Jediah Blades shone with the ball, picking up three wickets, while Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, and Akeal Hosein grabbed one each.
Adam Zampa took three wickets for 54 in his four overs
Earlier, Australia won the toss and asked the home team to bat first. The decision seemed the right one with the way the Aussie bowlers started the proceedings. At one stage, the Windies were at 42/3.
But then, crucial impactful contributions from Sherfane Rutherford (31 off 15), Rovman Powell (28 off 22), Romario (28 off 18), and Jason Holder (26 off 16) helped the team reach the 205-run mark for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.

For the visitors, Adam Zampa took three wickets despite conceding 54 in four overs. Hardie, Xavier Bartlett, and Sean Abbott bagged two wickets each.
Maxwell was adjudged the Player of the Match for his knock, and now, with one more match to go on 29 July at the same venue, Australia will look for a clean sweep.
