Overview
- Tim David scored an unbeaten 102*(37) against the West Indies in the third T20I of the 2025 series
- It is now the joint-second fastest T20I ton for a batter against a Test-playing Team
- The list features aggressive batters like David Miller, Rohit Sharma, and Abhishek Sharma
In the third T20I of the series between Australia and the West Indies in Basseterre, Tim David smashed an unbeaten 102*(37) and helped his side chase down 215 in just 16.1 overs. The right-handed batter scored his ton in just 37 balls, which is now the joint-second fastest T20I ton for a batter against a Test-playing Team.
Much like David, many other aggressive batters have scored T20I tons at a very fast pace in the past. Apart from David, there are four other batters who have a ton in 39 or lesser number of deliveries in a T20I match against a Test-playing team. The standards are getting better in the last few years, as three batters have scored a hundred in under 40 balls since 2023.
