Rachin Ravindra's story of playing for New Zealand in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is quite interesting. Former player Tim Southee revealed the incident which led to Ravindra's inclusion in the tournament. Ravindra's outstanding performance led him to book a permanent spot in the team. Kane Williamson's injury paved the way for Ravindra's inclusion, and the rest was history.

"He’s still young, but he has a mature mindset. If Kane Williamson hadn’t been slightly unfit due to his knee injury during the ODI World Cup last year, Ravindra might not have gotten his chance. But, everything happens for a reason. He is always eager to learn, constantly seeking advice from experienced players like Williamson. For a young player, his willingness to improve stands out," said Tim Southee on ESPN Cricinfo.

New Zealand will play against India in the finals of the Champions Trophy 2025. This is the second time India will face the Kiwis in the Champions Trophy finals. India lost the game the last time these two teams played in the finals. This will be a revenge game for India after 25 years, and since the players are in full form, they will look to win the ICC trophy.

Matt Henry likely to be out of Champions Trophy finals: Reports

New Zealand's talented bowler Matt Henry is on the verge of missing out on the Champions Trophy 2025 finals because of an injury. During the game against South Africa, he got injured and was out of the field. The head coach also confirmed his position and mentioned that they are trying hard to get him fit for the final match because he is an important member of the team.

In four matches, Henry has taken 10 wickets and is the tournament's leading wicket-taker. Hence, the Kiwis wouldn't want to play without their best bowler of the tournament.
