Dewald Brevis' impact: An important asset for CSK in the middle-order

Brevis is known for his power-hitting abilities and for having an unbelievable range of shots in different areas of the field. His amazing performances helped MI Cape Town to clinch their first title in the SA20 League earlier this year in January. The youngster attracted the eyeballs for an amazing 38 runs off just 18 balls in the SA20 final to help his side win the title.

Besides that, the Proteas star is also a part of the MI franchise in the USA-based Major League Cricket, alongside featuring in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

The 21-year-old could leave a big impact while batting up in the middle order for Chennai Super Kings in their remaining games of IPL 2025. The management and skipper MS Dhoni might think to pick him in the playing XI to bat at number three or four to accelerate the scoring rate, especially in the middle overs of the game.

Apart from that, the Johannesburg-born batter might also be a perfect fit for CSK in the lower middle order to hit some big shots around the death overs. So, he will be very useful for CSK in either of his roles, which will be a great moral advantage for the struggling batting lineup of the team in the tournament’s current season.

Speaking of Brevis’ T20 career so far, he has scored 1787 runs in 76 innings of the 81 games he has played. He has scored a century and seven half-centuries throughout his impressive T20 career, including his highest individual knock of 162 runs.
