Chennai Super Kings sign Dewald Brevis as a replacement for the injured Gurjapneet Singh

Dewald Brevis has played for the Mumbai Indians (MI) for a few IPL seasons, however, he went unsold during the IPL 2025 mega auction.

April 18, 2025: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have signed South Africa's Dewald Brevis as a replacement for the injured Gurjapneet Singh for the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Dewald Brevis has played 81 T20s and scored 1787 runs with a highest score of 162. He made his T20I Debut for South Africa in 2023 and has played 2 T20Is so far.

Brevis was previously part of the Mumbai Indians (MI), where he played 10 matches. He will join CSK for INR 2.2 Crore.
