"I got trolled a lot but it doesn’t affect me anymore now. Other teams have gone ahead, it’s important to play modern day cricket so that our future generations can watch it and get inspired. People have every right to complain about the kind of cricket we played from 2023 to 2025. We played in a way that damaged our legacy, and if the fans are upset, they have a valid reason," said Agha Ali Salman.

One of the Supreme Court pleas was for BCCI to boycott the match following the Pahalgam attack. However, India is likely to play Pakistan in the tournament in what could be the least anticipated arch-rivalry match in the recent memory. For the same reason, the ticket prices for the match were reduced as well.
