Rohit bids adieu to Test cricket on a decent note

Speaking of Rohit’s illustrious Test career for India, he wore India’s Test cap number 280 while making his debut against the West Indies in the Kolkata Test almost 12 years ago in November 2013. The batting maestro went on to play 67 Tests, scoring 4301 runs in 116 innings, with a brilliant batting average of 40.57, hitting 12 centuries and 18 half-centuries.

He had also been a part of the Indian team in some historic Test series wins, including the famous Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 win against Australia in Australia.

Notably, the selectors had already made up their mind to remove Rohit Sharma from Test captaincy ahead of India’s upcoming England tour.
